General Information

About Fair Valley

Fair Valley was organized as a private membership swimming pool and social club in 1957. Located on nine acres on Brantford Road on the border of Butler and Harrison townships, each season the Club serves up to 375 member families, couples, and singles.

Membership entitles you to use the pool from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. The park grounds are available to members year round, using a park gate key (available from the Pool Manager).

Fair Valley offers you comfortable and relaxed facilities. The regulation size pool has six swimming lanes, a deep section for recreational diving and a shallow area for smaller children. The baby pool area is separately fenced in and partially covered. The pool is circled by grass to give everyone plenty of room. The picnic areas, playground, miniature golf course, basketball, volleyball, and two tennis courts are available for your use.

You can choose from pool and social activities for all ages and interests. Swim team, swim lessons, women’s and adult socials, and tennis are a few of our many activities.

Fair Valley Park, Inc. is the corporation that owns the pool, park land and facilities. Stockholders that hold family memberships receive a membership fee discount. Stock information is available through the Park Secretary or Pool Manager. The stockholders annually elect an 11-member Board. This Board organizes the committees of volunteers who run the programs and set the
rules for the pool and park activities. The Board meets monthly as necessary.

The annual meeting of stockholders is the fi rst Monday in August at 7:30 p.m. The annual meeting of the Fair Valley Board is the third Monday of August at 7:30. All meetings are held at the pool unless changed.

Please contact the Pool Manager or a Board member if you are interested in working with the volunteer committees. Our facility can thrive only through the contributions of time and talent of its members.

Grounds Security

For member safety, and to keep vandalism at a minimum, the entrance gate on Brantford Road to the parking lot is kept locked after the park closes at dusk, and at all times during the winter months.

During the summer months, the gate is normally open from 8 am to 9 pm. For special occasions, the responsible person will open and close the gate. Those members who desire use of the grounds during hours when the gate is closed may purchase a key for $20 from the tennis chairperson or the manager. This key will open the main gate and the tennis court gate. New (different) keys are sold each year after Memorial Day. A replacement for a lost key will also cost
$20.

If you purchase a key, you must accept full responsibility and use the following procedure:

  1. When you open the gate, close it immediately after you enter. If you leave it open, non-members or members without keys can enter. If you lock them in when you leave the grounds, you create an obvious problem. If you try to make them leave, you could face an ugly or even dangerous situation. For the good of all concerned, keep the gate locked at all
times, except when you go through it.
  2. Keep the gate to the tennis courts locked except when you are using the courts. Do not leave the tennis courts unlocked when you leave.
  3. Do not duplicate your key, or give it to a non-member. This could cause you to lose any or all of your park privileges.
  4. Cars illegally parked or left unattended beyond posted hours in the parking lot will be towed at the owner’s expense.

We request your cooperation in maintaining grounds security.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the grounds, contact the pool manager or send an email to info@fairvalley.org.
